Looking back at what the Subtext community achieved this year

To those who joined us this year and to those who have stuck around, thank you for being apart of our Subtext community! Before we head out for the holidays, we're taking a look back at what we accomplished this past year, together.

Frame 2_Final_Final

With a record-breaking amount of texts sent this year, we want to thank our hosts for keeping their audiences informed on topics from how to file for unemployment to what TV shows to stream this week!

Launched exciting new partnerships

This year we found innovative ways to engage audiences and secure partnerships alongside incredible organizations.

🎥Subtext expanded reach in the creator economy by partnering up with the worlds most powerful Link in Bio platform, Koji.

🏈We helped pave the way for student athletes to find intimate ways to monetize their fanbase by linking up with INFLCR, the leading platform for college athletic programs.

📈And that's not all, we announced a partnership with a leader in marketing solutions, BlueLena.

Feeling accomplished – to say the least.

Nominations & awards

This year some of our hosts ran award winning campaigns, because of you all, we even received recognition. A few honorable mentions below:

🏆 Newsday won the International News Media Association Award for Best Idea to Encourage Reader Engagement for their use of Subtext.

🏆 The Globe and Mail won the Digital Publishing Award for Best Social Storytelling for their holiday Subtext campaign, 24 Treats.

🏆Subtext was a finalist for an INMA's Global Media Award for the Best Initiative to Retain Subscribers and The Drum Awards in the category of Best use of crowdsourcing / citizen journalism.

Product updates

We're always trying to do better. In pursuit of helping diversify audience connections, we launched some helpful new features.

🗽Segmentation and location targeting: We released the much anticipated segmentation feature, giving hosts the ability to send targeted content to subsets of their audience, and recently upgraded this feature to enable hosts to send geographically segmented texts.

🌍International texting:  In addition to the US & CA, we expanded our services! Subtext now has the ability to operate in any country that supports SMS. This is just another step the team took to ensure hosts are reaching their entire audience.

📲Voicemails: We now have the ability to add customized voicemails to Subtext campaign numbers, as well as collect inbound audio messages from subscribers.

Thank you.

On behalf of the entire team, thank you for choosing Subtext and making these moments possible. Wishing you all a happy and healthy holiday season!
