At Subtext, we strive to enhance how our clients engage with their audiences. That's why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our latest feature: Surveys. This highly anticipated addition has been requested by many of our clients, and we couldn’t be more excited to deliver it to you.
How Surveys Help You
The decision to introduce surveys was driven by a combination of popular demand and a desire to empower our clients with deeper insights into their audience. In today’s dynamic communication landscape, understanding your audience has never been more crucial. With this new feature, Subtext users can now engage with their subscribers on a whole new level, learning more about their preferences, habits, and expectations.
Learn More About Your Audience
Surveys provide a streamlined way for our clients to gain valuable, first-party data directly from their audience. This allows you to go beyond surface-level engagement and dig into what matters to your subscribers. By gathering feedback, insights, and opinions, you can make informed decisions that align with your audience’s needs.
Tailor Experiences Based on Real Feedback
Every audience is unique, and with the data collected from surveys, you’ll be able to tailor your messaging and content in ways that truly resonate. Whether it’s adjusting your tone, providing more of what your audience craves, or even shaping new offerings based on direct input, surveys give you the ability to refine your strategy in real time.
Listen at Scale
Listening to your audience is critical, but it’s often a challenge when you're dealing with hundreds or thousands of subscribers. With Subtext’s survey feature, you can efficiently gather opinions and feedback at scale, giving you a comprehensive view of what your audience cares about most.
Collect First-Party Data Seamlessly
With privacy concerns growing and third-party data becoming less reliable, the ability to collect first-party data is more important than ever. Surveys give you a direct channel to collect valuable information from your subscribers without the complications of intermediaries. This data is yours to harness and use to refine your strategy and build even deeper audience connections.
Creating Your Surveys
We’ve made it super easy for Subtext users to produce subscriber surveys. With a simple, intuitive interface, creating and sending surveys is as straightforward as crafting a message. You can customize your multiple-choice questions, distribute your survey seamlessly to your subscribers, and review results instantly. Plus, all the data and responses are easily accessible within your dashboard, making it effortless to analyze and act on the feedback you receive.
Creating surveys is as easy as:

Survey Ideas
With surveys, the possibilities are endless, but just in case you’re not sure where to start, here’s some ideas for polls:
- For Newsrooms: Send a survey asking readers a series of questions about a topic, allowing the results to inform your reporting.
- For Musicians: Poll fans about what song you should play as the encore at your next show.
- For Marketers: During the holidays, send out a survey to learn who your subscribers are buying for, gift budgets, and more.
- For Government: Text a 5-question survey to gather feedback on public servants to get a feel of the public's perception.
- For Sports: Ask your subscribers what part of the team you should do a deep dive on next: offense, defense, or coaching staff.
At Subtext, we believe that meaningful audience engagement is built on understanding and connection, and this feature opens up endless possibilities for deeper, more personalized two-way interactions. We look forward to seeing how our clients use surveys to strengthen their relationships with their audiences, gather insights, listen at scale, and create resonant content.
